Today, my husband quit his stable job of 12 years at the bank to pursue a career selling kites. If we don't end up homeless because of this, god knows we will when he has a real mid-life crisis. FML

Tell him that you were going to pursue a career as a crack *****, so you won't become homeless

a man should be proud of what he does, even if it is selling kites, although that should have been his weekend job and not his primary job

Do you have a job? If you don't get off your lazy ass and don't let him ruin your life and get a job.

Pretty sure you're partially responsible for this. IF he suddenly quit his job, maybe he was unhappy with his current situation.

So ... it's his wife's fault that he doesn't want to work at the bank anymore? Makes perfect sense.

81, yes it does. If for 12 years, you've been sitting at the office every day, doing a job you don't particularly enjoy, then to deal with the stress, you need some happiness at home. You know, some appreciation, some understanding, some friendly faces to talk to in your family. That'll help you to pull through. If your family treats you as another source of cash, then you'll get more and more tired and eventually you'll be unable to deal with it, so you'll decide to change something radically. One way to do it is to quit your job and try something else. Another way is to do it is attempt to endure, eventually breaking down.

Remember, in the kite business - the sky is the limit!

who cares if he's going to make less money? he is chasing his dream and you should support that!

Tell him you wanna follow your dream of being a hooker. See what he does then.

Maybe he just got fed up working with horses.
