Today, my boyfriend told me there was a tick on my shoulder and that he would remove it so I shouldn't worry. After about a half hour, lots of blood, and a ton of pain, he told me it was just a mole. FML

if you have a tick, you're supposed to light a match and burn it, and then it'll fall off. i'm really glad he didn't try this with the mole, though

Don't overreact. Most moles are good ones. The bad ones, called maligne melanoma, are disfigured (not round), have different colors in them... I have a bunch of moles, none of which are maligne. And some of them still grow a bit.
