A very similar thing happened to me a few years ago. I had tickets to see Muse at Wembley on the Saturday and Sunday, but couldn't go because I had a GCSE drama exam on the Monday afterwards. :( I did see them at the Eden Project the year before, though! :D
May not have necessarily been a last minute study issue, but the OP thought they might end up being out too late, losing sleep, and wouldn't be prepared...like their professor.
Yeah that's why I was thinking not necessarily, probably a combo of both. Because lol it sort of happened to me back in 10th or 11th grade, I went to a concert that was on a Sunday night and skipped school the next day and my teacher chewed me out over it. I was "required" to go in for tutoring and the ****** was never there....and incidentally brought up going to a concert once.
lol
Venture Bros. win? Or did they steal it from elsewhere?
WARPED TOUR?! Shouldn't have waited last minute to study. Tsktsk
I love irony :)
You're a woman - you'd better. And cooking, too. ;)
oh you are funny ;)
YDI for lying in your username, b/c if you really were a good student, just one night wouldn't have made a difference. YDI for selling your tickets. YDI for ever having tickets in the first place. YDI for being a student. YDI for desiring musical entertainment.
YDI for having ears. YDI for not guaranteeing yourself an A by FORNICATING. Oh, and FFML, exist*. Tsk tsk. ;)
I think the real fml here is that you have the same taste in music as your professor. sure there's a chance that he's a cool professor with an awesome music sense, but I think it's a bit more likely that you like shitty old people music
Why is it unbelieveable that a college professor, who spends his time around college-aged students, would listen to "their" music?
What is your definition of "shitty old people music"? There are plenty of artists that, depending on the professor's age, could have been around when he was young that are still playing, and that many young people like. Examples: The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Iggy Pop, Tom Petty, and so on... I've seen all of them except for Petty, (and arguably Ringo, since I was only a toddler when my parents took me to one of his concerts) and they're all still great.
Screw having fun at a could be one time only concert I'm going to study! well atleast you did the more responsible thing

At least you know your professor has good taste. :P
Ouch, I hope that wasn't a once in a lifetime thing :/ at least you know you have your priorities straight
