Today, I returned home from college and saw a framed picture of my parents and my younger sister on an elephant in an exotic jungle. I pointed to the picture and asked my mom, "Is this some photoshop job?" She responded, "No, we went to Thailand for a family trip, didn't we tell you?" FML

Today, I came back from college and visited my parents house. There was a new family portrait hung over the mantel of my parents and 2 sisters. My mom had always wanted one but always postponed it. It was dated the day after I left for college. FML

Today, my family returned from a holiday in Egypt. A holiday that I really wanted to spend with them. As if leaving me behind wasn't bad enough, they then made me watch a 200-picture slideshow of how much fun they had. FML

Today, while over at a friend's house, I saw a framed picture of a young African boy on her fridge. I asked, "Oh, is this one of those kids you adopt from third world countries? My grandma does that too." She responded, "What do you mean? That's my cousin." FML

I had something similar happen to me. My dad went to India " on business" and couldn't bring my brother and me. He came back remarried with two new children. We never saw it coming but apparently it had been in the works for over a year

Being a college student as well, I understand that sometimes schedules conflict and they have to take trips without. However, I too would be horrified if I learned that my entire family had left the country and flown around the world without ever telling me. You need to use this to your advantage at your next birthday or at Christmas.

#19 and 27 are huge dicks and should never talk again. Ever. There is a difference between a once-in-a-lifetime, go across the planet trip and a lame ass wedding. And i don't know what the **** trips #27 is going on that make Thailand look like a ******* bus ride but **** their meaningless opinion anyway. Probably some spoiled loaded POS whose life has never been ****** up and found this site by mistake. I'm sorry OP. This is a real kick in the face. I would be mortified. I think it's about time to disown your parents.

This same thing happened to me only My dad, Step mom, little brother, and Grandma went to ISREAL for 2 weeks. They weren't going to tell me but my little brother spilled the beans casue he wanted to brag about it. They seriously favor him above me on any aspect. FML hardcore.

Man I can't beleive that. I would be livid! I would be beyond enraged! But then again, did you really miss much? It's Thailand- if it were me, I'll pass on monkeys and diseases and stuff like that. I'll take America or the carribbean anyday. Still that sucks man.
