how did you only find out after one full year? wouldn't you find out in the first week or something?
Lmao. I hate all the dickheads here that are like "OMG! MEAT FTW!" that for some reason hold a huge grudge against vegetarians. I don't know what some many people give a fxck about our diet.
We evolved to eat meat, yes. However, we also have evolved to decide what we eat and realize what we're doing to animals. Animals feel pain too. It's simply not fair. We eat animals, we test OUR products on them, we wear them, we hunt them for our own pleasure, etc. Do animals not have the right to live on this Earth? Meat isn't even that goddamn healthy. A bunch of lazy, fat, immature ***** who think they're funny and amusing are the ones who complain about vegetarianism. If we only just respected and accepted one another. *sigh*.
#209-It's possible to develop allergies if you eat certain foods a lot. The OP probably ate a lot of meat substitutes made from soy and developed an allergy because of it.
Anadoll: Pitting us against lions without weapons is changing the game in the first place. The whole point is that we are SMART enoug to build weapons. If lions could build weapons, THEY would be at the top of the food chain. So your entire premise there is stupid. And my point about insects is that it doesn't matter if it's 10 or 10 billion. That's just trying to use numbers to inflate your point. Either your point is valid in ONE case, or it isn't. 10 billion cases doesn't make it MORE or LESS valid. Once again, the OP is not an idiot for being vegetarian. I don't care if he's vegetarian or not. The OP is an idiot for having a skin condition for a long time and letting it go unexamined by someone who might know what it really was. I also clicked FYL, though, since being allergic to soy, vegetarian or not, sucks ass. Gamerdude / 212: I ask you this one question: Do you think that animals give a crap whether or not YOU feel pain? Are you aware that plants feel pain also? Life IS pain. Kill (so that you may eat) or be killed. Get used to it. It IS possible to respect animals that are hunted or those that are bred for slaughter. Respect is a whole separate issue. What amuses me is how bent out of shape you veggies get about it. Did you ever grow up past 4th grade? Why do you give a crap what a bunch of people on the Internet think? For being so opposed to hunting, you sure are easily baited.
that sucks :( but you can still be vegetarian..there are other protein sources! or deal with acne?
I really don't understand why so many people on here are against vegetarianism. Perhaps ignorance? I'm an omnivore but I still try new and alternative foods to see what I like and spice up my taste palette. There are so many different kinds of food out there!!! Also, for all of you meat eaters out there, you should know that not only is soy healthier, but when you eat an animal (for example beef cattle), every addition of a trophic level (example cows eat grass) decreases available food energy by a factor of 10. Therefore, ten times as much vegetation is needed to feed humans who eat beef opposed to humans who eat grains, vegetables, legumes, etc... It's called the second law of thermodynamics. And it plays a big part in your economy and health, which is one reason to buy organic produce or free-range meat. To OP: there are many delicious non-soy alternatives to meat that are made out of mushrooms, corn, etc... Try all kinds of new veggies and fruits from a local farmers market and try to get protein from other legumes or nuts (hoping your not allergic to them as well). Good luck and Bon Appétit!

HA! soy sorry
People, seriously, shut the hell up on hating vegetarians. It's a personal choice, and if they're not pushing it on you, then you have no right to be pushing them to eat meat. There are entire countries with the majority of it's people being vegetarian. Do you hate on them? And I really doubt some of you are !00% carnivores. You can't survive on just meat, just so you know. There are other things you can eat besides soy products, and there are other alternatives. Also, you guys aren't being witty or funny with your comments saying, "Oh too bad, just go eat a steak and get over it." You're just sounding like an idiot.
