Today, I got hit so hard in the head by a dodgeball that a contact popped right out. To make matters worse, I continued to get hit as a futilely searched for it. FML

When I was playing dodgeball in 2nd grade, a ball hit me in the face and shattered my glasses, so as I bent over to clean up the mess, everyone targeted me and hit me about 15 more times

Always remember the 5 D's of dodgeball. Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge.

Beats breaking a hand. Got my cast off a couple months ago. Dodgeball is a brutal sport.

There's always that day when the entire class has to stop to look for a contact.

Same happened to me before, but both of mine got knocked out in one hit

That's why you always carry extra contact lenses.

If you were in gym why didn't the coach stop them? Is this normal for other schools? In my school if you get hit in the head the person who hits you gets out. I thought all schools where like that.

Maybe the teacher had just left the gym to do something? I know it was like that when I was young in school...and that was quite some time ago.

Even if getting hit in the face meant op was out, one hit should mean they're out and the others were just wasting balls. Using up balls on one person is stupid, they just wanted to be dicks.

Well, my school's rule is that head shots don't count. But playing without a contact is basically being out

Ouch... hope you were able to find the lense OP

Well, this could've happened with glasses too, except that breaking your glasses is more expensive and annoying than losing your contacts.

Not to mention I bet glasses breaking/shattering have much more of an ability to harm you more than a contact falling out.

What the ****? No seriously, after you're hit, you're out. Why the ****, other than to be a bag of dicks, would they keep trying to hit you? Teacher should have been all over that.

And here's another reason why I hated dodgeball. I swear that it was not a game but an invention of torture.

At my school, one girl lost a tooth and another broke her finger. I'm not sure why schools still play the game when it can be so violent.
