Today, I gathered the courage to ask my crush on a date. As I called her, she quickly answered and said "Can't talk right now, I'm in a movie theater." and then hung up. I'd called her home phone. FML

You're into really into intelligent girls it seems? :)

You CAN forward your home number to your cell number while you're out. Maybe she was telling the truth. Give her one more chance, if she brushes you off again, then forget it. She's just not into you. Move on.

She had call forwarding. I'm surprised how many people here don't know about this. Many people's home numbers get routed to their cell phones. And she wouldn't have said "I'm in a movie theater" if she weren't, because you called her home number and she knew that. It's all very simple. She didn't reject you in the weird way you thought. That should give you some consolation.

Might be a stupid question, but are you *sure* it was her home phone number? Where I live, landline numbers are 8 digits long and mobile (cell) numbers are 10 digits long, and I had someone SMS my landline honestly thinking it was my home number. Stupid yeah but mistakes are mistakes. Or she could have had call forwarding.

she could be telling the truth...ever hear of call forwarding?? sucks though!

84, cordless home phones only go a couple hundred feet b4 they stop receiving a signal from the base station's short-range transmitter. ur just as stupid as her unless she had call forwarding or something like google voice

Call forwarding or prank voicemail message. Either that, or she's a dumbass and you're better off without her.
