Today, I decided I didn't care about my pride, and so I asked this girl out in a text. After an hour of no response I asked again. Later I got a text saying, "I'm sorry, This is Emily's mom. Emily isn't here at the moment, but if I were you, I wouldn't ask again." I was rejected by her mom. FML

Oh damn. are you sure that was even her? or just pretending!

Your first mistake was asking a girl out by text message. Seriously, grow a pair and ask her out face-to-face.

she probably meant don't ask her out three times, dumbass

yeah...asking someone out by text......do you have any balls at all? Because that's pretty much one of the most cowardly things you can do...

That wasn't her mom, and if it was, she just saw the text message and asked her mom to answer it because she didn't know how to reject you. Don't ask a girl out in a text.

That Wasn't Her Mom. Teenage Girls Are Just Mean.

1. You know what? She got your first text. The fact that she didn't answer it meant that a) she was busy, b) she really didn't want to. If it was b), then either she doesn't like you or she was totally unimpressed with your method of asking. Which would be totally fair, btw. A text???? Seriously?? 2. The fact that you sent another text right after the first one automatically says creep to most girls. It says that you have stalker tendencies and if you're already harrassing her about going out with you, it'll only get worse. Besides, nobody likes to be pestered. In the future, let people answer your calls, emails, and texts at their own speed. Sending them another one asking the very same thing is not going to speed up a positive answer - but you may very well get one like this! 3. It was not her mother. Dude. Get a clue.

Would everyone stop being a douche and stfu, you don't know anything about this kid. Maybe he's just starting the dating scene and doesn't know he should ask in person, or has a big fear of rejection... give him a break everyone makes mistakes and he's not a coward for trying at least he tried.

haha it wasnt her mom. ive pulled that one before myself. it was her.

why on earth would you ask a girl out via text? thats the fast track to rejection. tell it to her face.

You already said "i don't care about my pride" so therefore it wasn't really injured in this situation, now was it? So, no FYL for you.
