Today, behind a cabinet, I found a scratch-off lottery ticket I hadn't scratched yet. After scratching it off, I realized it's a $2,500 winner. The lottery commission won't accept it because they stopped using that game 2 years ago. FML

Sue them for what? On the back of the ticket it probably says something along the lines of, "All prizes must be claimed within a year of the end of the game. Any prize not claimed is therefore forfeited." Or something along those lines. All the lottery people would have to do is tell the judge to read the back of the ticket. It's that way in most, if not all states.

If it were 1 million I'd probably kill myself...

Guess you need to clean more often than every 2 years.

I'd you got to cash it in, how does this apply to you. he lost out, & you partied. Way to rub salt on his wounds! lol jk

They should be willing to pay out the winnings of any of the scratchcards that are out there, considering they could control how many winning tickets they put out in the first place; unless there's some sort of expiry date on the card.
