Today, as I was walking into CVS, two older men outside said to me "Young lady, please consider us on your way out." Thinking they were hitting on me, I rolled my eyes and said "Screw you." When I walked back outside, I realized they were asking for AIDS donations. FML

Wow, way to overreact. One thing this site has taught me is a lot of girls think they're getting hit on when they aren't. ******* get over yourself. You probably aren't that pretty.

YDI, how in the world could you think that they were hitting on you?

#92: Liking the role of the victim a bit too much? This FML is ridden with double standards.

Totally deserved it. You sound like a real, self absorbed bitch. You'd even be lucky to get a guy with AIDS to date you.

Madam, do us all a favor and get off your high horse and take the stick out of your ass. Not every old dude, shifty-looking fellow, and man waving at you is trying to sexually assault you.

102, yes, generally people in the city are not as warm and smiley to strangers on the street. But you can't say it would NEVER happen in the South, because, well. Rape and murder happens, and you can't be prejudiced and naive about that. And why automatically jump to Kitty Genovese? (Who, by the way, was NOT really seen by 30 people. If you read an actual report, or even think of it logically, most of the "eyewitnesses" Gansberg quoted lived higher than three stories up and were busy doing other things and only saw things from out a window and for less than a couple minutes, and Genovese was raped in a stairwell, not the street.) There have been other public displays of sexual violence of that sort, like the guy who raped a woman on the NY subway. OP: Never mind the fact that "Young Lady, please consider us on your way out" is hard to misconstrue as a pickup line, their tone alone should probably not be icky.

You suck for being conceited. YDI for sure. I'll also agree with the comments about girls who advertise their goods then act disgusted when they're checked out need to seriously reconsider what they're trying to prove with the outfits they wear. Dave Chappelle did a skit or a standup talking about this same topic as he dressed up as a police officer and when a person came to him for help, he replied with "just because I look like a police officer, does not make me a police officer!" classic, IMO. If you don't want to be perceived as a ****, don't dress like a ****.

You're so vain. You probably think everything is about you. YDI.

Maybe if you weren't such a dumb bitch that wouldn't have happened. Not every guy is trying to hit on you-- most if not all of them probably want nothing to do with your conceited ass.

Ok hint, a sentence that starts off with a polite "Young lady, please..." is probably not sexually offensive. And you should have been able to tell from their tone that they weren't trying to hit on you. Even if they WERE trying to hit on you, though - no need to be so stuck-up and rude. Just ignore them and walk past.
