Just for clarification, it never said he lied...that's an assumption made by people to justify their argument against OP's love, so they actually have a basis. Also, it shouldn't matter if he was cheap. If he was cheap, he was cheap. A proposal is a move of complete love, commitment and faith. If that's not enough of an I love you for OP then that's disappointing. However, the ring is important as it represents a passage. The ring is not to be undermined, however it should not be the be all and the end all. Regardless, it never says that OP was lied to, so the only fact we can find is that OP is simply disappointed with the ring.
My skin does that with real silver do there is still a chance it's not fake?
I find it funny reading all those comments about how you can buy decent ring for $100-200. Regular stores start at $500 for engagement ring and if you want anything more than a wire with grain of sand size diamond you are taking $2000 and up. Or you can go to pawn shop, but then you can end up with finger turning green since unless you are expert jeweler there is no way of telling what you are getting. Btw. I'm allergic to gold it turns my skin gray and itchy :)
That's how it's always going to be.
Why are you people so ******* thick. Her finger turning green doesn't mean the ring was cheap or that the diamond was fake. A green residue implies a chemical reaction between your skin and the metal (often silver because it oxidizes so readily). Some people react more than others but it doesn't mean shit other than he bought a silver band.
it just means that there was copper in the ring, a lot of rings are mostly copper with just gold plating
