Who the **** cares. Go get a new one. The fml for standing in line at the DMV will be worse than this.
i've never had a place cut up my gift cards out of the hundreds of cards i have used at many different places over years. nor have i heard of a liquor store gift card...
#4 dumbfuck...
i wouldnt call this one fake, because when i worked at a certain hat store, i was required to cut up gift cards after they were emptied. our companys reasoning was that, someone could pick it up go into a store and try to use it again and make it some huge ordeal. while this sucks, the stupidity of people never ceases to amaze me. how could you ever mix up a gift card and license.
The real FML is that whoever gave you the gift card couldn't think of anything else to give other than a gift card to a liquor store.
lol i'm with 76. clearly you drink too much if the only gift idea someone had was a gift card to a liquor store. if they wanted to go that route, they could've at least bought you a bottle of something nice... a gift card is just lazy.
If you go to the bank they give you another card. No biggy.
wow people there are liquor stores that have gift cards--take the lcbo for example. when cards become useless, theyre usually cut up/disposed of, like #70 says. and if they cashier, who you would think does this on a regular basis, asks if you want them to cut up the card...why would you say no? are you going to keep it and sleep with it under your pillow? its not like the OP knew he was going to cut the wrong card. this definitely sucks, fyl. the process for getting a new license is a bitch.....you probably can't even drive (legally) in the meantime..
@ #49 : A gift for someone who just turned of age??
sucks, D;
#4: Actually, the cashier is required to hold the license in their hands and examine it closely to make sure it isn't counterfeit. Most licenses have a watermark that reflects when held the right way, this is why they are supposed to actually hold it in their hands. So, in short: shut up, you have no idea what you're saying. As for the OP, sucks dude. I hope you're getting the cashier to pay for it!! :/
******* Downey, your obviously under age and have no clue what your talking about "dipshit"
