Today, is my 21st birthday. My friends took me to a bar to celebrate, knowing I don't drink. I'm now in charge of driving my friends home after they've had an awesome night. FML

Today, my parents took me to a bar to celebrate my 21st birthday. They brought my little brother, but when the bouncer wouldn't allow him in, they made me wait outside with him while they went in for drinks. FML

Today, it's my 21st birthday. My parents' gift was a case of non-alcoholic beer, to "prepare" me for when I "turn 21." My parents can't even remember how old I am. FML

Today, I was the designated driver for my friend's 21st birthday. On the way home from the bar, he threw up all the pasta and tequila he'd had onto the back seat of my car, and told me it was part of his whole party plan. FML

Today, it's my birthday and my friends and I went to our favorite pub to celebrate. As I'm a little broke at the moment, they all offered to buy me birthday drinks. Which I later learned meant that they would order them for me and bring them to the table, but put everything on my tab. FML

Today, it was my 21st birthday. My roommate insisted her friend join us. They both got belligerently drunk while I was pretty sober. We ended the night at 12am with her friend violently sobbing at the bar over her boyfriend, while I played Subway Surfers. Yay. FML

You must be a very boring person. Don't take up drinking because if you can't be designated driver no one will want to spend time with you. ;p

Not choosing to drink does not make you boring. If anything it makes OP realize that they can have fun without relying on a substance. OP it sounds like your "friends" just want another buddy to drink with. They could've got wasted any of the other 364 days of the year. Personally I would've drove home and left their drunk asses to walk home. Then I would've seriously reconsidered my definition of a friend. If they need to drink to have a good time and you don't drink at all, you're probably just better off getting new friends.
