Maybe her husband was an orthodontist...or she was bitter because her damn Polident wasn't on sale at the store. I have a gap between my two front teeth that cannot be fixed with orthodontia, despite what a lot of them tried telling me when I was little. So, I would've turned to the kid and said, "You may not want to take advice from grandma, especially since she keeps HER teeth in a glass above the sink."
