Poor choice of words

Today, I met with an important client to talk about his stake in the company. The guy was at least 80 years old. After taking care of business, we spoke about my final year at the company. As he got up to leave he said, "Good luck in your final year." Without thinking, I replied, "You too!" FML
I agree, your life sucks 38 376
You deserved it 15 335

Same thing different taste

Eh...I mean it was obviously just a slipup. We really need a "your life really isn't that ******" button.

Ouch! That reminds me of: When was younger I hated going to weddings… my aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me "You're next." They stopped that after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals...

It happens to the best of us. I do it all the time. Haha. For example College dining hall meal checker: Enjoy your meal Me: Thanks, you too!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA. Aww, poor guy. But, hopefully he has a sense of humor and isn't some jackass that would hold it against you.

Damnnn ouch thats gotta hurt. But hey, it happens to the best of us.

I don't mean to be "That Guy" But this isn't an FML. It's a common courtesy, and he would have probably understood if you told him that it's a natural response. No big.

Brian Regan is the authority on 'you too!' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2-5mDyCKac
