Today, I decided to ask my friend to the school dance, which is one where the girls ask the guys. I spent hours placing signs down his street so he would see them on his way home. As I was waiting in his driveway with balloons, I saw his car reverse and go in the opposite direction. FML

Today, I went to a concert with a friend of mine. When his dad came to pick him up, I walked towards the car, expecting a ride. His dad told me he didn't have time to drive me home. I'm his neighbour. FML

Today, I was going to ask this girl I love to homecoming. I set up a scavenger hunt, and my friend led her through it. At the end of the scavenger hunt I had a note that said, "Homecoming?" She said yes and hugged my friend. When I told her it was me who was asking, she laughed and said no. FML

Sweet is good, this is just psycho obsessed stalker crazy. If she'd been a guy, police would have been involved. Grow up, this sort of shit is only cool if you're proposing to your girlfriend of five years... I'm sure all you little teeny boppers are going to rage out, but you come on WAY too strong. How is someone supposed to comfortably say no when they feel so pressured? And then the person who says no is the asshole? I can't believe what the world is coming to...

Awww That sucks OP He could have at least turned you down properly But YDI for planning something that elaborate if there is a chance of rejection In my opinion, you only ask someone to a dance in that way if you are going out and know that they are going to accept The elaborate plans are just there to make it a special moment But for someone who might say no, it makes the rejection much more awkward
