Today, I realized that my diet has gone completely bust. If I try to limit the amount of food that I eat, my stomach is growling and keeping me up at night, when my sugar isn't crashing and turning me into a food vacuum cleaner eating everything in sight. I'm not starving myself, I'm trying to control my portions. FML

If you're not diabetic, your sugar should not be crashing. Maybe see a doctor and see if something is wrong.

If it's just a question of food amount, you can eat big bowls of vegetable soup or salad three times a day, with a little side of lean meat and/or half a cup of rice/bulgur/pasta or a slice of whole-wheat bread. If you feel like a food vaccuum cleaner, eat vegetable sticks or fruit cubes.

I have same issues and i’m not diabetic. Just have a medium impact job with a shitty body falling apart. I have to still intake something like a few carbs to keep from passing out when i have to exert a quick burst of strength. It means your body is not efficient and if you are careful, you can over time ween yourself off the sugars till your body learns to utilize intake sustenance correctly. Sugar is one hell of a drug and more addictive than cocaine.

Start slowly. Change one thing and wait for two weeks, then change something else. Maybe buy slightly smaller plates to trick your brain.

If you're finding you can't limit the total amount of food you eat, maybe try making sure the food you do eat is more filling without adding too many calories. So things like fiber, vegetables, fruit, and protein, while cutting back on items with added sugar or lots of fat.
