Today, while at McDonald's, I saw an 8 year-old girl licking a life-size Ronald McDonald sitting on a bench. Being concerned, I told her mother, who then yelled at me for 10 minutes for being a "paedophile" and "being turned on by an 8 year-old girl." FML

Look at it this way OP: You tried to do the right thing. It's not your fault that the mom decided to be a dick about it. You should've just cursed her out and went about your business. Let's hope her daughter actually does get sick. Maybe that'll teach her to keep an eye on her damn kid.

YDI. You'd think people would know by now. For safety's sake you never touch, speak to, look at, or otherwise interact with children in any way. You don't even talk ABOUT them! That's the only way they can grow up happy, healthy, and well adjusted!

If the kid was doing something to you, I might understand butting into someone else's affairs. YDI for not minding your own business, OP. What the hell is that mother's problem though? Someone says something to her about the kid and she starts having sexual fantasies about her daughter — now that's just damned creepy. She's the one that people should be watching out for.

You did the right thing by saying something. That mother is a fricken idiot, and when her kid gets subjected to various diseases throughout her life everyone will know it's 100% her fault for being a moron who doesn't keep track of her own kid.
