If it's not too embarrassing for you, you should probably confront him about it or leave a note for him to see when he borrows the laptop. It's a little weird that he's using his own child's laptop for that.

Considering her user name, direct confrontation may not be possible. In addition, if she tattled on him, he'll just claim she's lying to cover up her looking at ****. This is a lose-lose situation for her and I think she did the only viable thing, password protect her laptop.

1. OP is a (apparently underaged) girl (so not a son) 2. The most likely reason the dad is using her laptop is to avoid getting caught, so I don't think she's being closeminded about the situation.
