All dungeon, no dragon

Today, I went to a public tabletop RPG session, excited to finally try it out. It was full of a bunch of fucking theater kids that wanted to be friends with everything and not fight. Four interminable hours later, I finally escaped from the Chamber of Boredom. FML

Oh dear, the game about Roleplaying on a tabletop included roleplaying. I really don't know what you expected ESPECIALLY for a Session 0/1 combination

If it was that bad, you could have just taken your RP sword, offed your RP character, and left.

It's clearly about roleplaying fighter characters though. That's why every selectable class has fighting skills, and weapons, and why every campaign focuses on battles. So not an unreasonable expectation to go through some fights.

Doesn't mean every session has fighting, ESPECIALLY starter sessions where they might be setting up campaign / characters / getting the plot hooks set etc. And thats assuming just D&D. there are different systems where fighting is much rarer
