don't worry about it. When I was that age, I got angry and frustrated easily, but I always kept my cool. I got my feelings out by writing them in a diary, so if someone were to read my old diary now, they'd think I was a horrible, hateful child, but I never really was that way. My diary was just a place to clean out my mind, and I'm sure your daughter is the same way, OP.
Yes OP you have failed as a parent for reading your 9 year old child's diary.
