If he's fit enough to work he should be contributing. Ultimatum time: either he gets off his lazy ass or you divorce. Ten years without a job should not leave you "irritated". It should be the final straw.

Hi. OK, so this is not going to be what you want to hear but here goes: There is only one person who is to blame if you get taken advantage of, and that's you. He does it because he gets away with it, so you will have to get a whole sight more than irritated. Kick him out of the house till he finds an income, even if it's selling pens on the street (which, by the way, works surprisingly well as long as they are of decent quality).
