to as a fellow artist I got to tell you that no ones art is ever good enough until later like way back I made awesome artwork no one noticed until later same with the guy who made the Mona Lisa like someone asked him to make it and he said he didn't like it but then 100s of years later everyone liked it except for yours I would give a couple days then people will come to see how nice it really is.
Just live your life not caring what others think
Op sorry to tell you this but the third grade is over and if your painting sucks then it gets the recognition it deserves... which in this case was none. YDI for thinking you are still in the third grade instead of learning the lesson and wanting to improve.
*Clap!* *clap!* *clap!* Maybe your painting sucked?
Try the cooking class. That's your true destiny!
Maybe you are not good at art and they just didn't feel like clapping. Or the others who got clapping were either good friends of the ones who clapped or were the "popular ones" and you are not. It might be mean of them, but that is not your problem. Otherwise you were one of the last one to show your painting, and they just got tired by the end of it. Or it could be that they just didn’t understand your art. Whatever is the case, it is not the end of the world. You are not a looser unless you allow yourself to be one. If doing good art pieces are essential for you (art major, etc) start critically analyzing how you can improve (if you need to improve, in the first place). If you think that people don’t like you, start by finding what might be wrong with you. If you think it is a genuine fault, work on it (don’t change yourself just to appease others). But don’t worry too much about it. I can empathize with you ‘cause I have had similar things happen to me.
If nobody was clapping, they were all cheering, while they were giving you a standing ovation...
You know what I bet your painting was amazing! Don't let them ruin your day :)
