Today, I was busy writing my English final paper and all of a sudden my computer just chose to freeze. I thought Microsoft Word would save it, but alas, 4 pages down the dumpster. Plus my earphones stopped working and I can't afford to buy a new pair. FML

I learned way back in the Windows 98(the worst ever version of Windows) days to always hit Ctrl S every couple lines or so. I still do it whenever I have to use MS Office for anything, it’s that ingrained in me

Word does have an AutoSave feature, but you have to set it up before it starts working. The latest versions make you hook up to OneDrive or something similar, and may even require a subscription. But it's obviously too late for those 4 pages.

You should communicate with the teacher long before posting a FML. Then you should work on your paper with every moment you have. Then you should turn in the best you can do by the deadline....... THEN you should post a FML.
