Today, I heard the guy I love talk to a friend of his. He was telling his friend how he appreciates all my attention, affection, and random gestures such as buying him lunch sometimes, but he’ll never see me in a romantic way because I’m “too fat for his taste.” I was basically used the entire time. FML

If I were you, I'd become busy with a new friend, real or imaginary, whenever he calls for a free meal or one-way ego strokes. I wouldn't let him know he caused any pain; just soft-ghost the jerk. You deserve better.

First, he can't be "using you" for random gestures. He's not "using you" for things he didn't ask for. Second, you say you love him? So would you walk 30-40 minutes 4-5 time a week to be with him? That would be good for you anyway. He probably said it because he wants you to know and is giving you a chance. He didn't say you're fugly or creepy. Weight can be fixed.
