I know how the kid feels. When I was little I sometimes couldn't sleep at night because my parents would be watching a scary movie and I could hear everything. And when they were having a party I'd sometimes get up at night and ask them to please be quieter because I couldn't sleep. My mother would then just have me spend the night at my grandparents, who only lived a short way up the street. :)
