Skunks may smell musky like any number of other animals, but they don’t reek constantly.
Are you sure something didn't crawl under it and die?
I guess if it sprayed it could leak into other materials and then the smell might never go away. OoF
Take a cookie pan and pour coffee grounds on it. Stick it in your oven on broil just for a few minutes (don’t start a fire) the charred smell of the coffee will overrule the smell of the skunk. We had to do that a lot when I was little and we had property.
