Safe space

Today, I was on a Zoom call with my therapist and we were discussing my PTSD. He assured me that I was safe and no one would burst into the room. Just then, my mom burst into my room and started screaming about dirty dishes. FML

Well. that gave your therapist a live demo of where you live and how you are treated. All and all sounds like a successful meeting....

Holly shit! Was that a dream or reality? Are you sure? … If it was reality, you need to lock your door when on zoom.

I didn’t know doing dishes caused ptsd, or being told to does, but I’m guessing the screaming definitely will. Not that I’m dismissing the issue (i had a mom who screamed) but yeah, mom shouldn’t be bursting in, but I’m wondering if OP is a kid and was asked/told to do dishes, didn’t and kitchen sink is piled high with no dishes to use. That would definitely make someone scream. I still have to control myself from screaming when my wife lets dishes pile up like that (i work 50hrs /week, she doesn’t at all, neither of us have kids, irks me to no end)
