Actually, with earlier versions of MSN, offline messages weren't delivered. You couldn't even talk to someone appearing offline.

This is only creepy if the OP is over the age of 18....Kids do all sorts of cutesy, stupid things when puppy love strikes...but the amount of strangeness you can get away with sorta of dwindles with age
