Today, I updated my Facebook status to, "Party at my house this Friday. Like my status if you want to come." After about 3 hours I checked back to discover that the only person who'd liked my status was my grandma. FML

Most people don't check other's pages that often on Facebook. If you make an event, it emails everyone. I personally get more info from twitter than Facebook, if people didn't send invites I'd never know what's going on.
