In retrospect, it was probably not a good idea to outfit your kitchen with cabinetry and appliances made of bacon. I do like my bacon blender, though. Smoothies are just better with a little hint of bacony flavor!
You either eat the world's poorest quality bacon or really need to clean your kitchen more often as there is no way those smells should be similar whatsoever

Ok, this should be a warning to all of you that don't properly clean your kitchens. The reason why OP most probably smelled bacon when their kitchen lit fire (and the most likely cause for the kitchen to catch fire anyway) is because of 'packed on grease' that accumulates over time, which, with some help of whatever caused it, smelled like bacon.
