dont feel bad op, you had no idea that both his mum and step mum had passed from cancer.besides the whole point of dating is getting to know someone . if he didnt want to answer those questions he wouldnt of answered them. i do feel bad for both him and his dad though , that would be hard losing two women in their lives.

I try not to ask people about their parents but you did nothing wrong don't beat yourself up about it.
