My brain hates me

Today, my anxiety decided to play a new trick: When I'm trying to go to sleep, I get anxious about having nightmares. It sure does wonders for my insomnia, which I've otherwise completely controlled. FML

Listen to some ASMR when you go to bed. When I had a job that was really stressing me out, and I had trouble sleeping because I would think about the stupid job. When I directed my attention to ASMR stuff, I was able to get to sleep much faster.

Not sure if you've looked into lucid dreaming techniques, but maybe just studying up on it will relieve some of your pre-sleep anxiety. Hope this helps.

I had this problem for a little while. I find it helps to have a pet or partner with whom you can share the room.
