Today, it's my only day off work in a while. I told my boss I'd be available via phone in case of emergencies. So far I've been called three times: To ask how the fax works, to let me know it's a slow day, and to ask me where the letter R is on a keyboard. FML

If your boss or coworkers don't know where the letter R is on a keyboard, then it is definitely an emergency and they need to go back to grade school.

Sounds similar to what happens to my mom. She's a tax collector, and works with property tax, so every time she takes off she will get calls every day asking her how to do things.

So why do you answer the calls? if it's your boss calling, it's his job to know this stuff. Unless you're salaried, then you're just screwed.
