Today, I was upset over a recent break up. It showed while I was at work, and I made a customer sad just by looking blue. She complained to my manager. I got written up for being so depressed that I got a customer depressed too. FML

Today, at work, we had an extremely rude customer who started cussing at us, and my coworker started cussing back. I jumped on the register to quickly bring down the line, and apologized to everyone for the scene. A secret shopper was in the line and claimed that I was rude. I got written up. FML

Today, I was short shifted at work because one of my employees decided not to show up. Furious, I wrote her up and made predetermined judgments about her. When she came in, I went off on her for being absent and leaving me stuck. She then informed me her mom tried to commit suicide. FML

Today, my supervisor was in a leadership meeting pulling random calls for quality. Mine was chosen. He got excited and told them my stats and how I put him to shame with how I drive my team, that I'm the best and this call is going to be amazing. I was then written up for arguing with a customer. Today, a customer at work said his table was dirty. I asked which one he was sitting at so I could clean it for him. For some bizarre reason he got pissed and called my manager over. He ended up reporting us to corporate, and my manager got written up. He's blaming me for everything. FML

Next time try more merchandise related norms. "are you finding everything ok"? Or "did you find everything today"? Or even "how can I help you today" should serve the customer service needs. :)

"How Are You" in a shop usually means has anything bothered you in the shop, not anything personal, jeesh. But I feel sorry for the guy, he sounds really depressed and obviously has no one to talk to. But definitely FYL I hope you still have your job.

Oh yea, I've had people like that, it's pretty scary what goes on in people's lives, I would give him a number to a therapist so he can talk to someone but not when your at work,
