What a BITCH!!!

I would have just pulled out my camera and video taped the kid getting hit.

"HOW DARE YOU SAVE MY CHILD!"

I work on a busy hotel driveway and always take the blind corner slower than everyone else because I know children are left to run free, one day I came within inches of running over a child, after my heart stopped racing I got out of the car and marched the child back to the mother and explained that she should cherish the fact she still had a child and the stress it had caused, her response was to get away from her child and she then told my manager.

I had a similar experience in a Wall-mart (serves me right for going in there, despite my dire need and the lack of any other stores in the middle of nowhere)- There was a wee baby in one of those little car seat things on top of the cart, not strapped in. mom, and about 12 of moms relatives were having loud conversation in front of the cart and didn't notice that baby was shifting and squirming. Baby slid out of its seat, and I caught it on the way to the concrete floor (after trying to get family's attention for a few moments about the impending accident). Mom then snatched baby from me, yelling at me in Spanish about touching her child without permission. Fantastic to know what being a good samaritan is so well rewarded.

Part of being a "hero" is knowing not everyone will be thankful for what you do.

I hate bad parenting. She should not have reproduced. That sucks, OP. You didn't deserve that. She should have thanked you.
