Today, I went to the dentist to have a tooth pulled. The day before, I was too anxious to eat anything, so I went in with an empty stomach. There were complications during the extraction and now I'm not allowed to eat for the next 24 hours. FML

Yeah? My brother had jaw surgery. He's not allowed to eat solids, semisolids, or anything non-liquid. for 6 weeks. suck it up.

I looked at the last 5 comments on the comments preview thingy and I was shocked to see people actually saying that OP shouldn't complain about having to go a full 48 hours (Take the 24 on the day she purposely didn't eat and then the 24 that the doctor told the OP not to eat) as if OP somehow deserved complications to go on during the surgery to force them not to eat and the people telling OP to just stop complaining because other people may have it worse. or to just ignore the doctor's advice to eat (Are you really so dumb that you'd willingly ignore what a doctor would tell you to do? And yes, dentists can be considered doctors.) Sometimes, I have a lot of faith in the people on this site. This time, I do not.
