Today, I woke up feeling awful, having caught the same illness my boyfriend had last night. When he was sick, I skipped my friend's baby shower to take care of him. Now that I'm sick, he goes to a friend's place, says to call if I need him, then turns his phone off. Seriously. FML

The only big gaming competition that I know of that happened recently was the CS:GO Dreamhack and there were lots of people that had hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of in-games items being bet on those matches.

These are some serious "re-evaluate the relationship" level issues. He's definitely at fault, not just for lying but also for jeopardizing your housing and credit. To top that off, you checked in, so on some level you were expecting this. Has he pulled this before, or are you just used to him prioritizing gaming over your relationship?

Or maybe the reason she checked in was to see how long work would be slow for and that's how she found out. Either way choosing gaming over paying bills is extremely irresponsible and to top it off OP may have a hard time trusting him now that he lied.

Dump him. Or don't. Either works. He's irresponsible and lazy from the sound of it. A liar to boot. I can't see why you would want to live with him any longer, and in the end, if you can't trust them too live with, can you trust them to marry later on in life?
