I have lived in big cities before and though something like this has never happened to me personally you still should have common sense enough to lock your passenger door, keep your windows rolled up and have a baseball bat stored somewhere handy just in case (ok, don't necessarily need the bat, but it helps). Especially if your parking your car late at night.

My mom did that before. Except she was the guy. And she didn't get in. She opened the door and started to get in. My dad and I made fun of her the whole way home :D
