Today, my friend asked me if I could watch her mother's cats while they go on vacation. I agreed since her house is on my way to work. When I talked to her mother, I found out she has 30-something cats. She reckons she lost count. FML

Today, I was over at a friend's house feeding her cats while she was on vacation. After feeding the four of them, I found an extra cat under the sofa. Thinking it was an intruding stray, I kicked it out. She actually has 5 cats. FML

Today, I'd agreed to watch my friend's cats for a few weeks. I'd always promised myself not to become a "crazy cat lady" like her. It's the third day and I danced with the cats and apologised to them for my bad dancing. FML

Today, I took in an old friend’s fat cat for a month until she finds a place to live. Turns out the cat isn’t fat, just pregnant. I found out when I found two of her dead kittens in my living room. FML

Today, I've been assigned to watch my friend's cat while he's away from home. His cat is 22 years-old and very grumpy. Most of my time has been spent making sure she's not dead, and getting attacked when I accidentally interrupt her naps. I've already got a few scratches. This is gonna be a long few days. FML

Today, I visited a friend's house, where I found out he has a trio of very friendly cats in his yard. After playing with them for a bit, I went inside. An hour later, my friend informed me that one of them had died. None of them were showing any signs of being near death. I'm sad and confused. FML

Today, I was outside with my two new kittens. A woman came rushing over, saying how glad she was that they were outside. She then started complaining that she had only been able to see them through the windows previously. I have no idea who she is or where she lives. FML

Today, I think I was just nominated as a crazy old cat lady. I was sitting in my garden when a stray methodically came back and forth, leaving her three kittens in one of my flowerbeds two feet from me, and now she hasn’t been back all day. I guess I own cats now. Three of them. FML

What I would do is put a call into Animal Control to clear most of the cats out and when she comes back play dumb and say animal control just "showed up out of no where" and that you couldn't stop them. Haveing 30 cats isn't healthy for the women or the cats. it's impossible to take care all 30 cats properly

I had no idea you could only legally have 7 cats. My grandpa used to have about 25 or so, but he took extremely good care of them, they were all well fed, had shots and stuff taken care of, identity collars (they were outdoors cats), plenty of water, and tons of room. You only ever saw 3 or so at a time because they wandered and hid.

If she really lost count, she won't notice if there's a few less when she returns. They have claws and teeth. Let them fend for themselves while she's gone. You can tell her they all seemed fine when you checked on them, but with so many it was difficult to keep track.
