Today, we got our results for our final grade English paper on which I worked my butt off on, and also which I let my best-friend copy off from. I received a E- and two detentions for plagiarism. My friend got a A-. All she said was, "Oh well, at least you tried your best". FML

Today, my teacher called a friend and me out of class and told us we had been reported for plagiarism because our answers to a problem were nearly identical, and he said that I shouldn't have shared my work. This for an assignment where significant marks were awarded for collaborating with peers. FML

Today, I got a paper back that was given a zero for suspected plagiarism. Everything I wrote was my own thought and analysis. My instructor basically thinks my paper is smarter than I am. He won't listen, even when I explain my thought processes throughout the piece. FML

OP, it's your own damn fault. You should know better than letting someone copy your work. Hopefully, this painful experience will teach you a valuable lesson for the rest of your life. YDI

Obviously the teacher graded your friend's paper first and thought yours was the copy. Nope, this isn't FYL, this is a 100% YDI. Next time, don't let her copy. Teachers aren't stupid!

For everyone that has: A = 90-100, B = 80-89, C = 70-79 D = 60-69, F = 50-59 At my school anything lower than a 70 is failing. Basically grading is A = 90-100, B = 80-88, C = 70-79, F = <69

I'm pretty sure this entire 'argument' is barbaric. I live, and go to school in Queensland, Australia. and we go ABCDE. but E- is only used for plagiarism. Americans have a different way of attacking the education systems, get over it. plagiarism is illegal and our school kicks out seniors for it, so suck it up, YDI.
