Unless he put a gun to your head you didn't have to comfort him. Did you know the guy? Was he a friend? Or did you know him from a distance? Either way, these kinds of things are bound to happen if you don't know the person well. Move on and better luck next time.

Lesson: don't sleep with someone who doesn't share your feelings. You slept with him because you were in love with him, but that makes it so much worse when you come back to reality: he doesn't love you back.
