Today, I'd set aside a weekend to play Dungeons & Dragons. One of our players suddenly had trouble with his wife and brought his toddler over. The kid would not stop crying, getting into places he shouldn't be, and loudly shitting his diaper every 15 minutes. I had to eject the player from the game. This is why I don't want kids. FML

Today, I'd set aside a weekend to play D&D. Some old acquaintances wanted to join, saying they'd pay for food. When I picked them up to drive them to the game, they claimed they were screwed on their paychecks, couldn't afford food or gas. However, they could afford Mountain Dew and candy bars for themselves. FML

Anybody who refuses to accept someone else's none-destructive hobbies need to reevaluate themselves. D&D, just like most things, is fine in moderation. It's pretty hard to play it enough to screw up your life anyways.

My mom didn't pick on the people who played DnD, but she says that was because she was afraid of them. Thought they were part of a cult, and when their character killed another character, the player actually killed the other player.

I gave you a "you diserved that one," not because you play dunguns and dragons, but because you told him. My dad still doesn't know I play. Whenever I go to one of my friends' house (about once every two weeks) I just say we're playing video games. Even that sounds less nerdy.
