Today, I rushed home after my mom called saying our upstairs had flooded. Apparently, my little brother somehow broke the toilet while unsupervised and water overflowed everywhere. It even reached my closet, shoes, and books, and everything touching my floor in my room is now wet. FML

why is it that girls are always so adamant about leaving the seat down? do guys yell at girls if the seat is down, and we have to use the very small amount of effort needed to lift the seat? cause that's pretty much the same thing

Okay, guys - really? When you flush with the toilet cover up, everything in the toilet - piss, shit, vomit, WHATEVER - gets flown into the room and will touch EVERYTHING. If you keep your toothbrush uncovered, you will be BRUSHING YOUR TEETH with this stuff. If you want to test it out, pour food colouring into the toilet and hold a piece of white paper over the bowl. You WILL SEE the coloured particles! OP, your brother's a dick.

If you really want to think about it, 3/4 of toilet usage is sitting down, girls sit for both actions guys sit for one action, it just makes more sense to have the seat down.

...I feel dirty now. As much as I tell guests to put the lid down (I also have cats who drink/play in the toilet), some people can't even remember to flush. >.< I know, i must find better people to associate with.

my brother just takes a leak with the seat down, the only problem is when he misses just a little, but thats only every once in a while. why not just have everyone keep the seats down? if someone pisses on thr seat, they can just wipe it off. simple and easy.
