Honestly, I assumed there was no swimsuit. And crazier accidents has happened, so why not? The more important question then, why would he stick it there voluntary?

Trust me, I don't understand his reasoning if it was intentional. The only thing I can think of is curiosity, maybe to see what it would feel like or something. Who knows? Maybe he's done it before and liked it so much he wanted to do it again.
