Today, while working at McDonald's, a guy asked me to deep fry his salad. FML

I said I'll check with my manager and she looked at me like I had 3 heads. We didn't end up making it but he had 4 orders of crispy chicken patties instead.

At Burger King he'd have gotten it his way!

Maybe the doctor didn't specify the purpose of his salad.

Lol this made me laugh. I also would've done it too. With extra ranch.

Well there's your first problem. You work at McDonald's. But don't worry, people come in to Panera and order a sandwich without the bread.

Gluten free people do that all the time. McDonald's is actually a pretty good place to work though. The odd customers keep it interesting.

is that even possible? and if so how much would they charge for said fried salad?

But who doesn't love a nice healthy deep fried salad?

What kinda cheese filling did he want in that?

Glad you went to the manager. Doubly glad you weren't treated like you were making it up. Some people...

heh, too bad. sounds like it would have been delicious!

The customer is always right. If he wants to be stupid, let him.

It would be more dangerous for the guys working the fryers than for the guy to consume it. I suggest looking up on YouTube what happens when you add water (lettuce had water in it and I doubt a fast good restaurant takes the time to thoroughly pay down their greens after washing them) to hot oil. It's not pretty--unless you're a pyromaniac.

Damn autocorrect. Arguments just become less valid when your spell shit wrong.

It's pretty outside from a very safe distance in a clearing devoid of brush with a fire extinguisher on hand...

I shall now use this as my favourite pick-up line / euphemism... 'excuse me, would you like to "deep-fry" my salad." '

He was dead serious even claiming he had one at another restaurant.
