Today, my girlfriend tearfully complained that I was smothering her to death with my clinginess, and that I should learn to respect her boundaries. This is after she complained I wasn't giving her enough attention. FML

Today, my girlfriend of over a year broke up with me. Two weeks ago she complained that I didn't act like I really loved her. I then became more involved and caring just for her to show my love. The reason she broke up with me? Because I was "suffocating her with clinginess." FML

Seriously you need 2 read more as ur not learning anything good from observation! Read "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" 4 starters... U need 2 give her attention & affection w/out smothering. Wen ur together, b truly present. Otherwise, give her space. She luvs u enuf 2 teL u & not dump u.
