Today, my mother invited me to a nice restaurant to meet her boyfriend whom she's been seriously dating for a month. Imagine my surprise when she led me to a table and my boyfriend's father stood up, shocked, to greet me. Rather than being horrified, she is now planning double dates every week. FML

in that episode i'm pretty sure the guys dad, and the girls mom, and the girl lived in 1 house, and the guy lived with his mom in another house.. but the 2 stayed with eachother a lot. on the episode tonight the girl said she'd been living with her bf for 7 weeks now since her mom and his dad were always like drunk and stupid.

It's not just from a movie... it's also from waaaay too many different types of media (comic/manga, romance novels, etc). Too cliche, but FYL anyway. You're not related by blood so it's not taboo, but that's awkward anyway lol
