Today, a customer at work became violent and started hitting me and my coworker. Not wanting him to get the shit beat out of us, I used a move that pinned the guy on the ground. The police came and he was arrested. I was then fired for assaulting a customer. FML

Today, after finally getting rid of an extremely rude, abusive customer, I muttered that I could kill people like her. I didn't know my manager had heard me, until a pair of police officers arrived. He'd reported me for "threatening to murder a customer". FML

Today, a customer at work made threats against me and my two-month old son. Instead of following policy by notifying the police, my manager apologized to him and told me to leave. FML

Today, my coworker got angry at a mean customer. She came to the back where I work and started punching the wall repeatedly. When I tried to intervene and stop her from breaking her hand, she punched me in the stomach and uppercut me. FML

Today, I got fired from work. Why? I finally took a stand for myself and confronted my coworker of writing things up in my name for herself, and it getting deducted from my check. So she went to the manager and accused me of sexual harassment. FML

Today, I finally decided to stand up for myself and quit my crappy job working for my abusive father. I gave him a few insults too, to which he reacted by calling the police and claiming I'd threatened to murder him. I spent three hours in jail before they finally let me go. FML

Today, I briefly had the coolest boss in the world. He stormed over to a nasty customer who was giving me hell, and he absolutely laid into her. It lasted about 10 seconds before he collapsed from a major heart attack. A coworker's already blamed me for not pacifying the customer in the first place and causing all this to happen. FML

Your allowed to use the amount of force needed to protect yourself, I had to have a meeting with my managers last year because a customer was being aggressive, pushed a girl to the floor and punched me, I punched him back and he ran off, He was arrested for assault, and I got away with it, Generally the idea is, if they punch you, you punch them back, only give what you took, that sort of thing. It's the same as being attacked in the street, if someone attacks you, and you whoop their ass, nothing will happen to you because you were defending yourself. Definitely take it further and appeal against your dismissal

Deserved. Dont you know the customer is always right? if he wants to beat you up, it is your job as his server to cater to his needs. Go join the UFC or something, if it makes you feel better.
