Today, I was in a rush to get to work and forgot to put on deodorant. I didn't realize until my coworker told me I smelled like a gym sock. FML

If you had showered, then it wouldn't be a problem. Don't use perfume instead of showering. You will end up smelling like a skunk drunk the entire bottle of perfume and puked on you.

I'd recommend keeping an overnight bag in your car, otherwise this sort of thing is just going to keep happening.
